Here’s what to do (and not do) if you’re charged with a military crime | Military Times

Whether your command has you dead to rights or you are being set up, you are innocent until proven guilty. Attorneys say the first thing you should do is to never wave your rights. One of the biggest mistakes is to not act on your right to speak before a defense counsel. Second, do not believe you can talk yourself out of your mistake, instead, remain silent until your attorney arrives. Also, remain professional and reasonable without consenting to a search without a warrant.
