Mohammed Alshamrani, the Saudi military pilot who killed three people on a Navy base in Florida was able to purchase his Glock 45 legally after finding a loophole. Alshamrani was in the U.S. as part of a training program when he fired into a classroom, injuring 11 others before he was killed by law enforcement. According to federal law, those with a student visa cannot purchase a gun or even shoot one at a range. However, an exception lied with those who held a hunting license, something the gunman was able to obtain after getting an Florida ID showing an address.
