Mark Milley says Trumps intervention won’t affect military discipline | WCBI

Must Read

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley has sought to squash the rumors that the military will go soft on discipline due to Trump’s involvement in high profile military cases, such as the Eddie Gallagher case, commenting that “We will not turn into a gang of raping and burning, pillaging throughout…that is not going to happen because of this or anything else.” Congressman Seth Moulton claimed to have received concerns from a Marine sergeant major about the President’s decision to intervene. The Marine called the decision made by Trump ‘appalling,’ and that it will lead to the military acting like Genghis Khan. Despite some being appalled, Milley did say that the president is ‘part of the process’ in maintaining good order and discipline, that he has the ‘legal authorities to intervene.’
