A new successor has been named by the Islamic State following the death of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi has been labeled as the next leader of ISIS following several others behind him. The raid that resulted in killing Baghdadi led to the retrieval of valuable intelligence and led to Trump having better reasoning to pull troops from Syria. Baghdadi’s death does not mean the end of the terrorist organization, however, a possible retaliation strike is still possible.
