Robert Ford, a missing Navy veteran with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, has been missing for nine days. The Sanford, Florida community has been on the search for Mr. Ford. His daughter, Catherine Ford has taken the lead in this search, asking the community to find volunteers to help search the area. There is an active Facebook page and website for volunteers. One volunteer said, “the little help that we can give, we want to bring him home before Christmas. He served our country. He’s what I consider a hero.”
Mr. Ford is 73 years old and was last seen overnight between the hours of 9 pm and 8 am on November 29, wearing dark-colored shirt and shorts and an unknown jacket color. He has hazel eyes and small beard, and is about 5’7’’ tall and 160 pounds. He has no shoes, no ID or phone. Having PTSD, Mr. Ford needs medication for depression, and often he forgets where he is at.
