TikTok’s public image has been shattered after they suspended a 17-year old user for making videos about the mistreatment of Uighur Muslims in China. The company has released a public apology after the news of them suspending Feroza Aziz’s account for criticizing the Chinese government on the treatment and surveillance of their citizens because of their demographic. TikTok has attempted to deny these claims, saying Aziz was suspended for a previous video featuring Osama bin Laden.
