Pleading guilty to the misuse of campaign funds, U.S. Congressman Duncan Hunter has made the decision to leave Congress. He looted campaign cash of more than $250,000 dollars to finance personal expenses, such as vacation and golf outings, resulting in federal corruption charges. According to an interview, he took this plea to prevent a very public trial and to protect his three children. He also said he accepts any sentence. Several Republicans have been trying to run against him since the beginning of the case, but in more recent news, Hunter is officially resigning.
