A five-year old child carried a toddler over half a mile in -31-degree weather after being left home alone. Julie Peter has been arrested for the neglect of the children, though, her relation to them has not been released. Both children suffered injuries related to the cold weather. The older child carried the younger one wearing without a jacket or shoes to the neighbor’s house after the power went out. It has not been said how long they were left alone for, but agents have booked a flight to the remote community to investigate.
