Montgomery County Richard Meleski indicted for faking military service to defraud VA out of more than 300,000 | Philly CBS

Meleski received over $300,000 in benefits and payouts from the VA by faking military service and even claiming to have been a prisoner of war. Not only did he receive these benefits, but he received them over veterans who had actually served. Meleski has been charged with health care fraud, mail fraud, stolen valor,  and for creating fraudulent military discharge papers and making false statements. Officials have said he also filed for disability under Social Security, claiming his injuries were service related.
