Google fires four employees for data security violations |Business Insider

Must Read

Google announced the termination of employment for four employees that were sharing and tracking coworker’s information such as calendar events outside of work. A representative confirmed the memo and the action taken but has declined to comment on the employee’s names or the protests surrounding the terminations. Almost 200 Google employees held a protest at a San Francisco office after two employees were suspended for allegedly searching and sharing private employee information. One of the fired employees, Rebecca Rivers, has taken to social media to identify herself as one of those terminated and claims she is innocent and was fired due to her activist point of view on the company’s interactions with the Border Protection and U.S. Customs.
