US resumes more robust counter ISIS ops in Syria | Military Times

An increased number of Daesh attacks in Syria have led the U.S. to begin more sizable missions against the terrorist group. The Combined Joint Task Force announced that a recent raid in Syria has led to a number of ISIS casualties with more captured. Air Force Maj. Gen. Eric Hill commented that the special operations branch in Operation Inherent Resolve is committed to the pursuit of the fighters and remains vigilant in their efforts to remove the threat. Since the withdraw of U.S. troops from Northern Syria, the administration has been working through plans for the rest of Syria and surrounding areas.
