On November 18th special forces in Tbilisi used water cannons and tear gas to help scatter a protest crowd at the Georgian Parliament. The police originally used shields in an effort to push the crowd back, despite protestors claiming their rally was peaceful. The most vigorous demonstrators were also removed by the police. After failing to disperse the crowd, special forces came in with water cannons and tear gas, resulting in several people requiring medical attention.
