AFSOC commander Slife addresses parachute training incident | the DESTIN log

Air Force Special Operations Command will be evaluating practices and learning lessons from an accident that left an airman presumed dead after he fell out of a C-130 aircraft over the Gulf of Mexico. Lt. Gen. James Slife has commented on the fact that this is the second fatal training accident the Air Force Special Operations Command has seen in the past two months. 29-year-old Staff Sgt. Cole Condiff had an unplanned parachute departure while executing safety checks on other airmen. A four-day search commenced after the incident, followed by two weeks of recovery operations that have yielded no results.
