Adjusting to civilian life after a military career doesn’t always have a clear path. Erik Bartell who served in the U.S. Army became the Executive Director of FitOps in order to create a path that veterans can follow and have a personal interest in. Three-week long camps and conferences teach participants how to become personal trainers and give advice on assimilating into civilian life. Bartell shares how he felt the same way as many of those attending the classes; unsure of what to do next with his career and life. His love of fitness gave him a positive outlet as well as a new career he could excel in.
