Second SEAL unit received green light | Bangkok Post

Must Read

Navy chief Adm Luechai Ruddit has signed the order for the creation of a second Navy SEAL unit. The new unit will focus on disaster relief and assisting people rather than war. The first unit’s primary focus is special operations and warfare. With the original unit being stretched thin with a daunting amount of tasks, Adm Luechai acknowledged the need for another group. An example of one of the second unit’s tasks  would be the rescue of 12 members of the Wild Boar football team and the coach from Tham Luang cave back in June and July.
