LTC Vindman was one of the U.S. administrators listening to the conversation between President Trump and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on July 25th. This conversation has become the focal point in the recent impeachment process of Trump. At the end of October, Vindman gave his testimony against the President to Congress for the impeachment investigation. After his testimony, Trump tweeted that he was a “Never Trumper witness,” leading people to be concerned for his military career. Defense Secretary Mark Esper has stated on numerous occasions that Vindman has no need to be concerned and that his military career will not be harmed by his testimony.
