Must Read

Sesame Street has reached its 50th anniversary, with the first episode being aired on November 10th, 1969. A group of developmental psychologists worked alongside the founders to help generate entertaining lessons for children. The popular show had numerous significant moments, as well as pushed the boundaries of what was acceptable during different times, such as having a multi-racial cast in the 60s and 70s. Other ways Sesame Street strove to relate to the real world was having a Muppet with HIV, a character experience homelessness, and a Muppet who has autism.
