The Center for Retirement Research at Boston College released a new study saying to hold off on claiming social security until age 70. Assets in a 401(k) account should provide income from age 60-69 while the benefits of social security build. Each year you put off claiming social security, your paycheck increases by 7-8%. Holding off until 70 can increase the amount by 50% or more.
