Scott Graham, who spent over a decade in the Royal Marines and Special Forces, holds classes teaching teenagers how to survive in freezing temperatures. This includes learning how to use equipment, what kind of clothes to wear, and how to identify hypothermia. The charity organization is using the classes to help student with anxiety and lack of self-esteem. The Polar Academy, started in 2013, has impacted over 70,000 teens that they recognize as “invisible.”
