Alcoholic liver disease and NAFLD have been on the rise according to a study, leading to an increased fatality rate of 65% in the past 18 years. These diseases were often diagnosed in the late stages, but a study done has produced a new method for detecting the diseases early on. Professor Jenny Lang from Georgia State University created a noninvasive way to locate tumors 100 times smaller than before with a dye used to locate collagen.
