An undercover sting resulted in two petty officers being arrested for selling drugs to over 45 other service members. The scope of the operation is still being determined, but the reports indicate that service members depended on the dealers for cocaine, LSD, mushrooms, and MDMA. A military judge sentenced the first officer to 34 months in the brig and a bad conduct discharge, and the second one to two years in prison, a $250 fine, as well as a bad conduct discharge. Many customers were caught through text messages revealed, containing phrases such as “some trippy boys tonight”. A picture image of a line of cocaine was also sent with the caption “right way to get ready for work”.
