Maj. Robert Rogers, who served in 1757 and led a legendary light infantry force, wrote 28 “Rules of Ranging” which combined Native American combat techniques as well as his guerrilla warfare strategies. In this series, these rules are applied to improving professional life.

Rule 13:  ‘When lying in ambush, wait for the enemy to get close enough that your fire will be doubly frightening, and after firing, the enemy can be rushed with hatchets.”  Or ‘Patience and discipline are force multipliers.’
