20-year-old Kade Kurita was reported missing after not showing up to a military skills competition, causing school officials as well as federal and military authorities to conduct a 6,000 acre-wide search. The same time that Kurita went missing, an M4 rifle was also unaccounted for, causing concerns that the cadet would pose a threat to himself. Over the span of four days, 130 soldiers looked for Kurita where they finally refocused on the campus perimeters. There, he was found dead, but no explanation was released. Our thoughts go out to Kade Kurita and his family.
