People are using Snapchat to sell smuggled guns | The Verge 

Three people in the last year, that authorities know of, used Snapchat to advertise firearms for sale in states with restrictive laws. The social media app bans ads that promote weaponry and has a policy against using the app for illegal activities, but enforcing the policy relies on other users to report illegal behavior. It isn’t just Snapchat; Facebook has gun sellers that find ways around restrictions, and Instagram has found several users who skirted its advertising ban. The problem is that Snapchat lacks any kind of blanket ban, making it an easy platform to take advantage of.
