Researchers answer the question of whether or not artificial intelligence could do a better job of managing and leading the world. While machines have the capability to make complicated calculations and operate advanced decision making with cost-benefit analyses, researchers believe that they could never fully replace a human leader. AI has no way to take into account right and wrong or put value on human life, and has potential to make split decisions that are catastrophic. While humans are nowhere near perfect at running governments, machines seem to be reliant on the humans that build them, making them no better candidates than real leaders. A video series goes into more detail about what we know about AI and its capabilities.
