Contained in a 10-inch-high, purplish urn kept for many years on the mantle of a St. Petersburg, Florida, home, the cremains were those of Albert L. Mitchell, a decorated Green Beret who served three tours during the Vietnam War and retired in 1978 as a major after 20 years in uniform. Years later, the urn was found in a box with papers and the investigation was on, thanks to the Warrior Cares Program.
