Boeing’s venture arm Horizon X announced that it is going to invest $20M in Virgin Galactic to develop technology that will make hypersonic air travel possible. Virgin Galactic is planning to list on the New York Stock Exchange and become the first public human spaceflight company by the end of the year. The company says it’s on track to begin flying customers as soon as next year using a spacecraft called Unity that holds six passengers.
