An international team of scientists figured out a way to turn heat into electricity which could generate efficient energy in some of the largest sources of harmful gasses. The team discovered that heating a paramagnet, a magnet that has lost its magnetic force, can create a semiconductor that converts heat to electricity. After further experiments, the team found that the paramagnets also produce a spin that pushes electrons, which is the process that will ultimately generate the electricity desired. This finding could lead to massive change in energy use in the future.
