Since 2012, the group of people who have seen the largest gains in income are people who did not complete their high school education. While people with college degrees make more than those without on average, a shortage of workers has pushed wages higher at jobs that do not require degrees. Studies show that there is still high value in getting a degree, but even without one, there is more of a chance of finding a well-paying job than there was in the past several decades.
