This November, Berlin is transforming its city into a massive exhibition to mark the 30th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Over 100 events are being planned at the sites of the revolution which will incorporate 3D projections, animations, and sound effects to mimic the time period when it happened. On top of the visual effects, Berlin intends to hold concerts, open-air exhibitions, workshops, and tours. One of the most anticipated features is a floating art piece that will display over 30,000 handwritten messages from current citizens.
There will also be an augmented reality app that temporarily resurrects the fractious barrier between east and west.
