Psychosensory electronic skin technology for future AI and humanoid development | Science Daily

Electronic skin has been developed that can detect “prick” and “hot” pain sensations like human skin. This technology can be used for patients with prosthetics and, believe it or not, humanoid robots.  The attempt to mimic the five senses has been on going, with the focus being more on detecting textures like smooth and soft, rather than pressure to pick up objects.
