For the second time in a week, a suspected Russian Special Forces operation was carried out behind jihadist lines in the Idlib Governorate.
According to a source from the Syrian military, the Russian Special Forces snuck behind enemy lines in the Al-Ghaab Plain, where they later ambushed the Al-Qaeda-linked Hurras Al-Deen group.
The source said the specific location of the Russian attack was Khirbat Al-Naqous, which is close to the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) front-lines in the Al-Ghaab Plain region of the Idlib Governorate.
He would add that the special operation resulted in the death of at least five foreign Hurras Al-Deen members.
