SAS commandos have been returning from missions to far-flung places infected with sexually transmitted diseases.
The shock revelation came from a former sex clinic nurse speaking about the difficulties faced by returning troops and their families, including domestic violence.
The crack Special Air Service troops are stationed at Stirling Lines in Herefordshire.
In a meeting last week former nurse and Herefordshire county councillor Polly Andrews told council colleagues: ‘I used to work in the sexually transmitted diseases clinic and we had a number of SAS personnel go through the clinic.
