The United States government has released a series of photos highlighting the work of US Armed Forces around the world.
The display of military technology and strength called Exercise Valiant Shield is the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command’s largest training exercise. Valiant Shield started in 2006 and is conducted biennially.
Despite the cold weather in Wisconsin, the military said that it was the perfect training ground for the 2nd Marine Air Wing’s Ullr Shield exercise.
According to the government, all sectors of the U.S. military conduct exercises similar to the stated to improve security preparedness, ensure open access to sea and air, and participate in humanitarian and disaster operations.
