Danish SOCOM trials C-UAS, C2 technology at exercise ‘Night Hawk 18’ | Janes

Danish special operations forces (SOF) used a multilateral training exercise to evaluate a series of next-generation technologies, including counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) and command-and-control (C2) technology, service officials told Jane’s .

According to Major General Peter Boysen, commander of the Danish Special Operations Command (SOCOM), exercise ‘Night Hawk 18’ saw a Special Operations Land Task Group (SOLTG) from the Jaegercorps, Special Operations Maritime Task Group (SOMTG) from the Frogman Corps, and Special Operations Air Task Group (SOATG) conducting “air, land, and maritime integration” with the support of C-UAS and C2 technology.

Also participating was a multinational SOLTG and SOMTG. The all-Danish SOATG was in command of 29 fixed-wing aircraft and 8 helicopters, SOCOM officials said.
