Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command Change of Command Ceremony | Camp Lejeune Globe

Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command, hosted a change of command ceremony last Friday as the Raiders bid farewell to Lt. Gen. Carl E. Mundy III and welcomed Maj.

Gen. Daniel D. Yoo.

Yoo returns to MARSOC to serve as its seventh commander, having previously served as the command’s operations officer in 2007. This new command position will enable him to leverage the better part of a decade of reconnaissance and special operations experience, including his last assignment as commander of Special Operations Command, Pacific. He has the distinction of being the first Marine to lead a theater special operations command.
