A retired U.S. Army lieutenant colonel got a pretty big promotion after he went to work for the United Arab Emirates, where he now heads the nation’s Joint Aviation Command and National Search and Rescue Center as a major general.
Stephen Toumajan retired as an Army lieutenant colonel in 2007, according to a recent report by Buzzfeed.com.
At some point, he went to work for the UAE, and in a video posted on the Department of Defense’s photo and video sharing website, while with his UAE soldiers at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California, he says, “I am a major general for the United Arab Emirates.”
