Red-faced US Navy Seal gets stuck in a tree after embarrassing parachuting fail | Cambridge News

A farmer has described the ‘bizarre’ moment an elite US special forces serviceman got stuck 100 feet up one of his trees.

The US Navy SEAL was left red-faced when he jumped from a plane and snagged his parachute in the tree’s branches.

He was eventually freed by his colleagues who used a cherry-picker to bring him down.

Today (April 23), the farmer who owns the land near East Rudham, Norfolk, said: “It was bizarre, you would think he could have avoided a line of trees.

“It was a very tall tree, he couldn’t have missed it. It’s at least 100ft tall.

“He was fairly calm about the situation which I guess is to do with his training but he did seem slightly embarrassed.”
