Polaris unveils new DAGOR A1 light tactical vehicle | Jane’s 360

Polaris Government and Defense on 21 March revealed its DAGOR A1, a new version of the light tactical vehicle used by several special operations forces.

The DAGOR A1, according to Polaris, provides “improved performance and capabilities with better mobility and operator functionality”.

Among the vehicle’s new components are a redesigned designed fuel or water holders that can be placed in several locations. It also has newly offered “cargo box aircraft rails, RF antenna mounts, and a tailgate that is aircraft rail compatible for … storage options for the tailgate’s 500 lb [227 kg] capacity”.

The DAGOR A1 can carry up to nine personnel and a total payload of up to 4,000 lb (1,814 kg), about a 20% increase over the legacy platform, Mark McCormick, a senior director for Polaris Government and Defense, told Jane’s . He added that its gross vehicle weight is 8,500 lb (3,856 kg).
