A BRIT couple have been kidnapped and held hostage by “ISIS-linked terrorists” while on holiday in South Africa.
The holidaymakers flocked to the coastal province of KwaZulu-Natal in order to collect seeds and indigenous plants as part of their travels.
The couple who both hold dual British and South African citizenship, last spoke to relatives back home on February 12.
But it wasn’t until February 15, when they were supposed to have arrived back in Britain, that loved ones realised they were missing.
Fearing their life was in danger, a specialist force was put together to search for the couple, while an investigation on the now arrested suspects was already underway.
Hawks spokesman Brigadier Hangwani Mulaludzi said cops managed to link the suspects to the missing couple as they had been under surveillance for a long time, a source told TimesLIVE.
