US and Macedonia to Increase Special Forces Cooperation | Balkan Insider

“After the improvement of the political situation in Macedonia, the focus is on the strategic goals, NATO and EU membership, Defense Minister Radmila Sekerinska said today at the meeting with the Commander of the US Special Operations Command in Europe, Major General Mark Schwartz.

According to the defense ministry, the interlocutors concluded that Macedonia and the United States have comprehensive and continuous cooperation in the field of defense, and that a joint effort is to make that cooperation even more intense, especially in the special forces of the two armies.

Sekerinska informed the guest that Macedonia remains committed to participating in international peacekeeping missions and joint training activities with NATO partners, which also increases the capabilities and capacities of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
