Fallen SEAL honored by fellow San Diego operators | NavyTimes

More than 1,000 members of Naval Special Warfare Command met June 2 on the infamous BUD/S grinder in their dress blues to honor the memory of fallen comrade Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Petty Officer 1st Class Remington Peters.

Peters died May 28 during a parachute demonstration for Fleet Week at Liberty State Park in New Jersey, an official Navy news story said.

A Colorado native, Peters enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2008. He completed combat deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan, and received the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and Combat Action Ribbon.
