JFK Special Warfare Center and School welcomes new commander | Fayobserver

On a typical day, there are more than 4,000 Army special operations soldiers deployed across the globe, serving in more than 70 countries.

And for the most part, those soldiers are trained by one institution: the U.S. Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg.

Called the “crown jewel of Army special operations” and the “cradle of operational success” by the commander of U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the school house trains thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines each year while also hosting future leaders from U.S. military allies around the globe.

It’s where all Special Forces, civil affairs and psychological operations troops receive their training and where thousands of leaders…
