There are only two occasions when I carry cash these days: paying a parking meter or tipping my bartender.
It’s not just that virtually every restaurant and store accepts plastic. Often, I don’t even need to take out my credit card. When I want to buy concert tickets or order something from Amazon, I just go online, type in my information (or use the card already saved on my account), and it’s done. If I want to pay back my friend Sarah for those baseball tickets she bought last week, I pull out my cell phone and open Google Wallet. Zip! Cha-ching! It’s done. Want to go somewhere?
