Questions raised about Canadian special forces spending $20 million for vehicles offering no protection | Ottawa Citizen

Polaris Industries of the U.S. has been awarded the contract for the $20 million project to deliver 78 such vehicles.

The vehicles would mainly be used for off-road travel.

After publishing photos of the ULCVs, I started receiving more than a few emails from readers pointing out that the vehicles are lacking any type of protection from either small arms fire or improvised explosive devices (which would be present in both an urban and off-road setting in any conflict zone).
