I served in the Department of the Navy for five years as a civilian Personnel Research Psychologist. During that time it was my honor and privilege to study, advise, and help improve how the US Navy SEALs screen applicants. I worked with Navy SEAL leaders to improve human resources techniques using advanced analytics, behavioral predication, and psychological testing, but I also learned many lessons from working with these elite performers including how to make the choice to be resilient.
