Naked Warrior monument that honors Navy Underwater Demolition Teams proposed in Virginia Beach | Southside Daily

Fort Pierce, Fla., Waimanalo, Hawaii, Coronado, Calif., and Virginia Beach are the four primary training sites for Navy SEALs and their predecessors, but only one of those cities is without a Naked Warrior monument.

The monument, which pays tribute to Navy combat divers and Underwater Demolition Teams (UDT) during World War II, is missing from Virginia Beach.

Former Navy SEAL Rick Woolard hopes to change this by bringing the Naked Warrior to the Oceanfront.
