At first glance, growth at the nation’s largest military installation appears to be slowing.
Big dollar military construction is harder to come by. And several military units are slated to leave post in the near future, including the Air Force Reserve’s 440th Airlift Wing and the Army’s 1st Theater Sustainment Command.
But leaders at Fort Bragg said the numbers don’t tell the full story. And that growth, bolstered by special operations forces, remains in the installation’s future.
