Defense hearings: SECDEF and Joint Chiefs chairman

The headliners of another busy week of budget hearings will be Defense Secretary Ash Carter and Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey, who appear before the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday to justify the White House’s fiscal 2016 request.

VA Secretary Bob McDonald is also back on the Hill to talk about his agency’s budget request, and leaders of the four services will all make appearances on the budget circuit throughout the week.
